WALK BY THE SPIRIT.

The works of the flesh are sexual immorality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, envy, hatred, lust, drunkenness, etc.

They are like canker worms and even worse that eats up the spirit of an individual.

May seem enjoyable but its way is the way of death. They are deadly! They are blockages to having the divine relationship between humanity and God.

They are pleasurable and enticing, always beckoning and mounting the weight of pressure. Falling to such isn't even difficult at all because of the yieldedness of man to do these works.

One thing defeats not gratifying the desires of the flesh.

One thing subdues and takes over the desires of the flesh.

The simple principle Apostle Paul laid down by the Spirit to us is the simple principle of walking by the Spirit.

He said in Galatians 5:16, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh."

Just walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

The Spirit and the flesh are opposed to each other. The way of the flesh is the way of death. Death to purpose, death to vision, even worse is eternal death.

The way of the Spirit is the way of life. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life."

The Spirit is the instructor and guide to life and becoming like life Himself, in the person of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Apostle Paul wrote this to the believers.

He knew that regardless of our new person as a born again, the flesh will always come at us.

In the first place, our spirit was the regenerated one and so the Spirit of God teaches our spirit, we can then bring our mind and flesh in subjection to Christ. That's why we need to constantly edify our spirit.

He also clearly made it known that without the Spirit, you cannot help yourself but gratify the desires of the flesh because the very life that saves you from death is void in you. This is why those who walk by the flesh will remain in their sin unless they come to the cross and receive the life of the One who died on it —Jesus Christ.

The works of the flesh are pleasurable but lead to death.

Dear believer, are you walking by the Spirit?

As He holds your hand guiding you to life, are you sure you're not letting go of His hands to satisfy the flesh? If you let go of the hands of the Holy Spirit, you will fall and find yourself doing the works of the flesh.

Our only saving grace is to walk by the Spirit.

Either that or fall into sin. Fall into sin and walk in the way of death.

The Spirit of God beckons.

"Walk by me and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. I am the way, the truth and the life."

Walking by the Spirit is tantamount to submitting to the Holy Spirit.

Walking by the Spirit is keeping check with your fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

Walking by the Spirit is giving up on the works of the flesh and solely abiding by the law of the Spirit of life. This law sets free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2.

And this law is solely believing in Jesus ; completely renouncing the works of the flesh.

Be holy as your heavenly Father is holy.

This tells you you can be holy even in a sinful world like this. Just hold on to the Spirit of life and walk by Him. Just believe in Jesus and renounce the works of the devil.

Maintain constant and consistent fellowship with the Holy Spirit. This is how the flesh is subdued.

That bible you've read for a while, now is the time to open it and feed your spirit to life.

That ashes on your altar, now is the time to dust it off and offer new sacrifices that fresh fire may come upon it. Flies can't perch on flaming heat. In like manner, the works of the flesh can't find expression in the life of one who walks by the Spirit.

That instruction you've not obeyed, now is the time to obey it.

If you're void of the life of Christ, that is, not born again. Now is the perfect time to do so.

Salvation is right in front of you. Grab it! Own it! Have access to eternal life!

You need the Holy Spirit to be free from the law of sin and death. The Holy Spirit only comes when you accept the Lord Jesus into your heart.

Declare: "Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner. Please, forgive me my sins. Take away this burden of sin from me and give me life. Make me your own and teach me your ways. Amen.

If you said that word of prayer, congratulations!  Welcome to the family of the living ; welcome to the family of God! 🕊️🎉💖
