The white colour often connotes purity, peace, hope, clarity, innocence, neutrality, light, simplicity, cleanliness and so on. Of all these, I would say the white colour perfectly connotes purity.
Imagine there is an event you have to attend and the dress code for the event is a white dress. I am pretty sure you would be extra careful in making sure the white dress does not get stained by anything whatsoever.
In the same manner, you should be intentional about your person. You should be intentional about remaining “white.”
Every object of the white colour remains white unless stained. In similitude, you as a woman remains “white” unless stained.
There is something that remaining pure does to a woman. It brings about a sense of worth, holiness, cleanliness, innocence, mindfulness, self-awareness, self-assurance and wholeness.
But then, there is great contention on purity. The world system has so attacked purity like it’s a virus to be eradicated. Especially, sexual purity.
The devil has so much brought perversion to everything God ever made and declared in His word.
That you should remain pure is of utmost importance to God.
1 corinthians 6:13 - "Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food — and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.”
You should keep your body and keep yourself pure. Why? 1 Corinthians 6:20 - “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
The whole of you belongs to God. You do not own yourself. You are bought with a price which is the blood of Jesus Christ.
That you have a sense of independence does not mean you are your own.
Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit - “Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?”
Your body is the dwelling of the Holy Spirit when you receive Him. It is sacred and never to be defiled.
Will you use a dirty dish to serve your food or a clean one? Will you pour a new wine in an old wine skin? Definitely not! I know you would not. You love yourself too much to do so.
Likewise God would not use an unclean vessel unless such comes to the throne of grace and obtain mercy to attain a state of purity. God would not use you dear woman if you are impure. He would only pour His holy oil on a pure vessel.
God wants you to remain pure in terms of spiritual purity, emotional purity, moral purity, inner purity and most especially sexual purity. You are His vessel and He needs you to be clean to use you for His glory, so remain pure in your body.
How can you remain pure? Stay away from stains no matter how little.
You can fall into sexual immorality through the passion of lust. And the passion of lust comes through what you see. Keep your eyes off impure things and do not give in to lust. Keep His temple undefiled. Never put yourself in a position or state of blemish.
Never expose parts of your body that ought to be covered. Never for any reason send nude pictures to the opposite gender. Doing so defiles God’s temple.
Never for any reason have thoughts that defile you.
Have you maybe defiled His temple and you feel dejected? My dear, God still forgives, God still cleanses. His blood is ever purifying. Isaiah 1:19 - "Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”
He wants to restore your state of purity. All you need to do is come to Him and surrender all to Him. You can not make yourself pure. He can and He will if you come home to Him.
Take that bold step of faith and say: “Lord Jesus, I admit that I am impure and I also admit and believe that you shed your precious blood for me. Please, forgive me. Cleanse me thoroughly, restore my state of purity and take me as your own. Amen.”
Keep His temple undefiled, you are unique and your worth is far above rubies.
